Growth & Development Team Leader

When: approx. 5 hours per week Open Volunteer Spots: 1

Are you passionate about learning and development? Do you have the leadership skills to inspire and support a team? We’re looking for a Growth & Development Team Leader to play a pivotal role in delivering and maintaining high-quality training for our volunteers.

About the Role

As the Growth & Development Team Leader, you will work closely with the County Leadership Team, and Volunteer Development Team to ensure that we identify areas of need and opportunity to recruit new Volunteers and Young People into scouting. What You’ll Be Doing:

– Liaise with Districts to explore opportunities for Growth and support them to develop their Growth Plans .

– Support Districts and Groups with their Growth Plans in the community .

– Provide Support and Advice for Districts and Groups with growth in young people and adult volunteers .

– Work with The Regional Growth & Communities team in securing support for the county

Process

The process is in Four stages :

1. An informal, none committal, conversation with the County Lead Volunteer ( Bryan Johnson) & Transformation Lead (Greg Piskosz) where all those interested meet as a group to ask questions about the role in Durham and talk through any issues, concerns or reservations about the role.

2. For those wishing to continue their interest we will ask you fill in a simple application form

3. A conversation with the County Search team will be arranged on an individual basis. Following that discussion the search team will make recommendations to the County Lead Volunteer

4. A 1:1 conversation with the County Lead Volunteer
