Late July and August is generally the time that we mirror what is happening in schools and take a break from Scouting. Have some quality time with our loved ones and friends and maybe “get away” from home and have a holiday.

It is also the time that we take the opportunity to undertake Large camps or events, giving our young people amazing experiences at jamborees, overseas, District and Group camps. Just a brief look at social media shows the huge range of things that are going on and that our young people are experiencing; visits to Wings in Windsor, Poacher in Lincolnshire, trips into Europe, the Lakes, North Yorkshire, Northumberland, Scotland, the list goes on.

In addition many groups continue to meet in the holidays. I am so proud of the energy, drive and commitment you all bring to scouts, creating experiences, memories and new friendships for our young people that last a lifetime.

Thank You So Much. I am really looking forward to visiting Groups and Districts to hear what you have been up to.
