Each year, April 23rd, St George’s Day, offers Scouts everywhere a powerful reminder of what it means to belong to our movement. St George, known for his courage and kindness, represents values we aim to live by—standing up for what’s right, helping others, and facing challenges with determination.

It’s also a special moment to reflect on the Scout Promise, the foundation that guides everything we do. At the heart of the promise is a simple statement , “I promise that I will do my best”. It is the only thing that is common to every version of every promise in all our sections. “I will do my best”, not be the best, be better than anyone else, simply “do my best.” Whether we’re learning new skills, supporting our communities, or exploring the outdoors; just begun your Scouting adventure or have years of experience, the Promise inspires us to be our best selves. It reminds us that we’re part of something bigger—a global family committed to making a positive difference.

Thank You for all that you do…..
