Before his retirement from the Lead Volunteer role, Bryan Johnson had the pleasure of presenting an Award for Merit to Jean Devlin, Lead Volunteer for South Tyneside. This award recognises Jean’s outstanding dedication, commitment, and the significant contribution she has made to Scouting within the district.
Jean has consistently demonstrated strong leadership and a passion for supporting young people and volunteers alike. Through her guidance and encouragement, she has helped strengthen the local Scouting community and ensure that opportunities for adventure, learning, and personal development continue to thrive across South Tyneside.
The presentation of the Award for Merit was a fitting way for Bryan to recognise Jean’s hard work and service before stepping down from his own role, celebrating the positive impact she has made and continues to make within Scouting.
