Cubs will go on a hike, follow a trail and take part in team challenges along the way with lots of opportunities to top up your badgework along the way.
Teams will consist of between 4 and 6 members and need to be accompanied by at least 2 leaders per team. Leaders will accompany Cubs along the route.
The competition will take place at Waldridge Fell, Chester le Street on Sunday 18th September and will start and end in the Car Park just across the road from Waldridge Village Hall. This year we will take a maximum of 20 teams. Teams will be set off at 15 minute intervals with staggered arrival and departure times (times to be advised in the joining instructions along with exact meeting point).
What Cubs need to wear:-
- Cub Uniform
- Long trousers
- Sturdy shoes or boots
- Waterproof coat & waterproof trousers
- Small backpack with a drink and a snack (choc bar or similar, you won’t need more than that)
Additional information for leaders:-
- Teams will be accompanied by 2 Leaders on the fell, one of their own and one from another Pack. We will also need Leaders to help with activities and marshalling so if you have extra Leaders who can come along that would be great.
- If you have Cubs with additional needs, please ensure that you have appropriate support for them. We are not expecting Cubs to have free time and Leaders should supervise Cubs at all times.
- Unfortunately the fell is not wheelchair accessible.
- 1 Team per Pack unless we have space at the time of closing, please email us on [email protected] if you would like an additional team should space be available.
