Paddlesport Safety and Rescue Course

Saturday 27/06/26 we will be delivering a Paddlesport Safety and Rescue Course at Chester le Street. We can accommodate up to 6 delegates. Ideally delegates will hold the Paddle Explore Award, or the Discover Award with some extra experience of paddling. This is a course of training with no assessment, but it is a prerequisite for a permit or formal instructor/leader/coach pathways with Paddle UK. Delegates can choose any craft (Closed Cockpit Kayak, Canoe or SUP) to use on the day, as they will be learning to rescue any craft from their chosen one. The day will run 0830-1630, it is physically demanding. Cost will be c. £25.00 (which includes certification fees from Paddle UK).  We will also use this course to assess permits for those on the course who feel ready.
