Over the weekend of Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th June, Moor House Adventure Centre was buzzing with excitement as Durham Scouts hosted their Big Day Out – two fantastic days packed with activities, smiles, and a whole lot of adventure.

Saturday saw 500 Cubs descend on the site, ready to take on everything from the thrilling toboggan run to the towering cube climbing challenge. Local volunteers and special activity providers joined forces to offer an incredible mix – from inflatables and outdoor games to classic Scouting skills.

On Sunday, it was the 500 Beavers’ turn to take over Moor House, filling the fields with laughter and energy as they tried new activities, made new friends, and took part in an opening ceremony fit for the youngest members of our movement.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the weekend possible – from our amazing volunteers to the activity providers who made sure there was something exciting for everyone.
