2025 / 2026 Trustee Nominations

Our 2024/2025 AGM will be taking place in September 2025. During this, we will recommend the trustees to join our trustee board for the year ahead.

The Trustee Board currently has 9 trustees, 7 of whom were appointed for one year. The two remaining trustees are ex-officio. As a Board we are keen to ensure we have a range of skills represented, and in line with Charity Commission guidelines. The current trustees will propose to the AGM of the County Scout Council the Trustees they recommend, the number of trustees and their length of appointment.

Following on from last year we have refined the process of seeking expressions of interest that will result in the recommendation of the outgoing Trustee Board to the AGM on the composition and makeup of the new Trustee Board.

During the last year, we have made significant progress on the strategic management of the County, and we have developed a skills profile for Trustees for the forthcoming Trustee Board.

We are proposing that key areas of our governance have a lead trustee. We are looking for people with the appropriate skills, knowledge and experience of the key areas and a sound understanding of Scouting and our responsibilities as a charity, or a desire to learn. We are also keen to receive application from people aged 18-25 years old.
